The Senior Choir
The Senior Choir numbers about twenty members, with a balance of Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses.
Occasionally, in addition to the Friday practice, extra rehearsals may take place for special services or items. The adults are also able to follow the RSCM Voice for Life scheme if they choose, for which extra training will be given by the Director of Music as necessary.
Recruitment
Interested and capable adults are always welcome. If you are considering joining the choir, we would love to hear from you. Contact the Director of Music directly, or speak to any choir member after a service. While there is no formal audition - you just need to enjoying singing - you might be invited to take an informal voice test after you have settled in. The volume of music is such that, although fluent sight-reading is not essential, being able to learn the music quickly is a great advantage. You should expect to attend most practices and notify in advance of any occasions when you may be unavailable.
