40 YEARS OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST THE KING

Celebrations took place at The Church of Christ the King, on 21st May 2017 in honour of the consecration of the building 40 years ago. The Bishop of Basingstoke attended as did people from across the Parish, together with visitors from far and wide who had once attended the church. The first two vicars, Nigel Harley and Charles Edwards arrived along with Sister Monica. When the church was first founded it was a joint Roman Catholic, Church of England church, until St Bede's was built in Popley. People from both those congregations were present on Sunday. What a wonderfully blessed celebration  - we have been at the heart of the community all those years!
