Friday Coffee Morning
We have had a Coffee Morning on a Friday at our Church for about 10 years. It started as a small group and over the years has grown significantly. We are a mixed group of people who enjoy the company and conversation of others. Ages range from new born to ninety with the older ladies in particular enjoying the cuddles of new babies that come from time to time.
Sometimes we have visiting people selling their ‘wares’, crafts people, cards and Christian goods. The children from Manor Field Infant School and a very talented group of musicians from Brighton Hill School also come along from time to time to entertain us.
The coffee is good, as is the ‘home-made’ cake, which is very popular with the taste buds, although not quite as good for the waist-line, and we pride ourselves with value for money. We meet between 9 and 11.30am, some staying for the whole time and others just popping in and out.
We also enjoy contributing to the various Church missions – Samaritan Purse - shoe box appeal, Macmillan and Christian Aid, and the social activities like skittles, quiz nights and suppers. Of course all of this is optional and an added bonus if we choose to take part.
Everyone is welcome and we look forward to meeting you.
