Baptism or Christening is an important occasion for your family and your child. Baptism is the way in which you become a member of the Church - the start of your life as a Christian. It is a choice which adults make for themselves and which parents can make for their children before the children are old enough to make that decision for themselves. Baptism is about choosing the Christian faith either for yourself and for your child, so it is an important decision.

At the Church of Christ the King we also offer a Service of Thanksgiving for those who feel less sure about making the promises involved in Baptism, but would like to celebrate and thank God for the birth of their child.

Baptisms and Thanksgivings are normally arranged as part of our Family Service on the second Sunday of the month, starting at 10am.
