The Friends of All Saints Church,
Basingstoke

Registered Charity number 1076500

For over 100 years people have attended All Saints Church. During this time many have had reason to form a strong link with All Saints. They have come to this church for weddings, baptisms, to celebrate both sspecial personal events and for the major festivals of the Christian year, and to commit loved ones into God's tender care and devotion. Many have valued their link with All Saints and have found peace, beauty and a sense of god's presence in this fine and spacious building and welcoming congregation.

All Saints was dedicated in 1917, replacing a temporary iron hut of 1902. Built to the design of Temple Moore it ranks among his major achievements. In recent years there have been many additions including windows designed by Cecil Collins and made by Patrick Reyntiens, and the head of Christ by Dame Elizabeth Frink. It is a Grade II* building, its reputation being known far and wide.

As well as being renowned for its architecture and artistic merits, All Saints is a lively, worshipping and witnessing church. It is also regularly used for services by local schools and organisations and for concerts by various choirs and musicians.

It is the duty and privilege of those who attend All Saints to conserve the building for future generations and to show something of God's love to all those who come here. Many would like to share in this or would like to maintain a connection with All Saints but, for various reasons, are unable to make a full commitment to this. However if you would like to maintain a link with All Saints, even if you live at a distance, you would be warmly welcomed and greatly valued as a member of the Friends of All Saints Church.

More information can be obtained from the Friends Secretary.
