Our worship may look formal, but we do not have lots of rules about what to do and how to behave – when you come you are free to join in as feels right for you. It’s fine just to sit and let the worship "wash over" you.
We draw on a rich catholic tradition in our worship, which values beauty and uses all our senses: sound (our music) sight (the glass, paintings and embroidered hangings) and scent (we use incense) as symbols of prayer. This tradition has always been part of the identity of All Saints.
We usually publish a very short summary of the sermon preached at the 10am Sunday service on our Facebook page
If you are visiting for the first time you may find these FAQs helpful
(All our services are from Common Worship)
8am - Holy Communion [1st & 3rd Sundays of month]
: a "Said Eucharist" (without music or hymns)
10am - Sung Eucharist [1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th Sundays of month]
: our main service of the week
If you have time to stay, there is tea, coffee and squash afterwards.
We have toys and books for children on the north (left hand) side of the church and we enjoy having children with us.
10am - "Come Fourth" [4th Sunday of month]
: a service planned with the needs and interests of children in mind
7:30pm - "Stillness on Sunday" [2nd Sunday of month]
: an evening service of silence and quiet reflection and prayer
We plan this service in the style of the Taizé, 3 times a year.
Before we leave we share coffee, cake and conversation.
